Genomics England partners with the NHS to provide whole genome sequencing diagnostics. Its services help researchers to find the causes of diseases and develop new treatments.

In 2022, Genomics England moved its HQ to One Canada Square in Canary Wharf. This was a key part in the development of a new life sciences cluster. Canary Wharf is currently home to many healthcare and life sciences organisations and is now well on the way to becoming a world-class life sciences hub.

 

London Drywall was responsible for all internal drywall partitions. These were all slab to slab and both acoustic- and fire-rated. Our work can be seen in large meeting room spaces, welfare facilities and office areas, as well as open plan working areas.

 

We also installed hanging, feature bulkheads above all the glazed partitions present on site. We were also responsible for acoustic bulkhead enclosures which housed the sliding / folding wall support structures, while maintaining the integrity and performance requirements of the wall systems.

 

The space incorporated many open ceiling voids (exposed slab), which were painted to a finish. Due to the many penetrations made to install services, these voids needed to be finished to a high standard for the project completion. We were onsite for six months, completing the works on time in October 2022.
